New to D Power Up Hanging on the Planet What's Going On

D-supplies

It's hard enough keeping track of what's in your backpack most days, but when you walk out your door, you have to remember to take your D-supplies with you.

Your D-supplies include:
  • A list of all your medications
  • Your medical ID bracelet
  • Blood glucose meter (take an extra one just in case)
  • Test strips
  • Lancets
  • Insulin
  • Syringes and/or pen needles
  • Glucose tablets, glucose gel, or fast-acting sugar snack (just in case you go low)
  • Alcohol wipes/hand sanitizer
  • A pencil box or somewhere to store your used needles until you can throw it away properly
  • Glucagon emergency kit
  • Extra batteries for your meters and your pump
  • Insulin pump and pump supplies (spare reservoir, infusion sets, clear dressings, etc.) if using insulin pump

It may sound like a lot, but if you keep a little case or bag that holds everything and keep it well stocked, you won't have to think about it every time. Just don't forget to take it with you! ;)
