In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat for approximately 5 minutes. Drain fat.

Add onions and cook 3 minutes or until onions begin to turn clear. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.

Add remaining ingredients except buns and simmer for 10 minutes.

Serve on whole-wheat buns.
