| Smart Balance margarine, melted | 2 Tbsp |
| black pepper | 0.13 tsp |
Cut squash in half, clean out seeds, brush cut surfaces with melted margarine, and bake cut side down on a cookie sheet at 350°F for 30 minutes.
2:Turn squash cut side up and continue baking until squash is tender when pierced with a pointed knife.
3:Baking time ranges from 45 minutes to 1 hour.
4:Cut through skin into serving-size pieces and season to taste with pepper.
5:Any kind of winter squash can be used, such as acorn, Hubbard, butternut, or buttercup.
