This apple-spiced dish is great served over rice.

canola oil 1 tsp
lb boneless pork, cut into 1/2 inch cubes 1.50
medium granny smith apples, cored and sliced into 1/2 inch wedges 4
dry white wine 1 cup
brown sugar 2 Tbsp
cider vinegar 0.25 cup
cornstarch or arrowroot powder 3 Tbsp
Worcestershire sauce 2 Tbsp
Fresh ground pepper and salt to taste 1 pinch
1:

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the pork and brown on all sides.

3:

Add the apple slices and sauté for 3 minutes.

4:

Add 1/2 cup of the wine, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.

5:

Mix the other 1/2 cup of wine together with the remaining ingredients and add to the skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens.
