Yogurt Dip With Zahtar Pitas

| ground sumac | 2 Tbsp |
| ground dried thyme | 2 Tbsp |

| nonfat Greek-style yogurt | 2 cups |
| olive oil, divided | 3 tsp |
| Fresh ground black pepper | |
| garlic clove, minced | 1 |
| lemon zest | 0.50 tsp |
| Bread | |
| whole wheat pitas (about 1 oz each) | 3 small |
Preheat oven to 350°F.
2:To prepare the zahtar, toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until seeds are lightly brown.
3:Add in the sumac and dried thyme. Set aside.
4:For the dip, mix together yogurt and 1 tsp. of the olive oil. Add about 2 Tbsp. of the zahtar, fresh ground black pepper to taste, the minced garlic, and lemon zest.
5:Brush the remaining olive oil over the pitas. Sprinkle with about 1 tsp. of zahtar per pita. Store the remaining zahtar in an airtight container.
6:Cut the pitas into wedges, and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes until crisp.
7:Add a bowl of yogurt dip in the middle of a platter. Surround with the zahtar pita pieces.
