This version of apple crisp takes on a new appearance with a light, flavorful topping.
|peeled & sliced apples (about 3 medium apples)||3 cups|
|old fashioned cooking oats||0.33 cup|
|Tbsps brown sugar or the equivalent in artificial sweetener||3|
|fat-free vanilla yogurt, sweetened with artificial sweetener||4 oz|
|ground nutmeg||0.13 tsp|
|fat-free whipped topping||0.75 cup|
Mix apples, oats, brown sugar, water and cinnamon.2:
Pour apple mixture in a 1-quart microwave-safe bowl.3:
Cover with wax paper and microwave on high for 5 to 7 minutes, rotating 1/4 turn halfway through cooking time.4:
Depending on thickness of fruit, cooking time may be longer.
