Broccoli with Lemon Sauce

Serving Size: 1/2 cup

Fresh broccoli only needs a little enhancement. To vary this recipe, add 1/2 tsp marjoram and 1/2 tsp dried basil to the lemon-butter mixture.

lb fresh broccoli florets 1.50
reduced-fat margarine 2 Tbsp
lemon juice 2 Tbsp
lemon, cut into wedges 1 large

Place broccoli into a vegetable steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes until broccoli is just tender.


In a small skillet, melt margarine, then add lemon juice. Drizzle lemon butter over broccoli, and serve with lemon wedges.
