Brown rice flavored with cinnamon and clove.
|(1-inch) piece cinnamon stick||1|
|pinch saffron threads||1 large|
|brown basmati rice, rinsed for 1 minute in a fine sieve||1 cup|
In medium saucepan, bring water, cinnamon, cardamom, salt, clove and saffron threads to a boil.2:
Add the rice, lower the heat, cover and simmer for about 45 minutes until rice is tender.3:
Remove the whole spices before serving.
