Cinnamon and Cardamom Brown Rice

Brown rice flavored with cinnamon and clove.

| salt | 1 pinch |
| whole clove | 1 |
| pinch saffron threads | 1 large |
| brown basmati rice, rinsed for 1 minute in a fine sieve | 1 cup |

In medium saucepan, bring water, cinnamon, cardamom, salt, clove and saffron threads to a boil.
2:Add the rice, lower the heat, cover and simmer for about 45 minutes until rice is tender.
3:Remove the whole spices before serving.
