Jalapeno Peanut Hummus with Fresh Herbs

Serving Size: 1/4 cup
This spicy, creamy spread tastes great with fresh veggies or whole wheat pita wedges.
|(15 oz) can organic chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained 1 small jalapeño pepper, with or without seeds||1|
|garlic clove||1 large|
|natural creamy peanut butter||1 Tbsp|
|lemon juice||2 Tbsp|
|sea salt, or to taste||0.25 tsp|
|chopped fresh cilantro or flat-leaf parsley||3 Tbsp|
Puree all ingredients except the cilantro in a blender until smooth, adding more water by tablespoonfuls only if necessary.2:
Top with or stir in cilantro and serve with raw vegetables or fresh whole wheat pita wedges.
