Stuffed Greek Pitas with Feta

Melted feta cheese with chicken and herbs in a stuffed pita bread.

dried oregano leaves, crumbled 1 tsp
medium garlic clove, minced 1
chopped heart romaine 4 cups
precooked diced chicken breast meat 1 cup
diced tomatoes 1 cup
whole-wheat or white pitas, cut in half (warmed, if desired) 4
reduced-fat crumbled feta 2 oz

Combine the salad dressing, oregano, and garlic in a small bowl and set aside.


Combine the romaine, chicken, and tomatoes in a large bowl, add the dressing mixture, and toss gently, yet thoroughly, until well coated.


Fill each pita half with equal amounts of the salad mixture and sprinkle feta evenly over all.
