Nasi Goreng is a quick and easy rice-and-beef preparation from Indonesia. Spicy curry powder and red pepper flakes are balanced with the flavors of tart apples, tomatoes, and green peppers for a one-of-a-kind dish. Serve hot or at room temperature, accompanied by chutney, banana slices, mango, raisins, peanuts and/or shredded coconut. Serve with Indian flat bread for an authentic Indonesian meal. green bell pepper, diced 0.75 cup
tomatoes, diced and seeded 1 ea
curry powder 1.50 tsp
salt 0.50 tsp
crushed red pepper flakes 0.25 tsp
cooked rice 1.50 cups
tart apple, peeled, cored, and diced 1 ea

Prepare a large skillet with nonstick pan spray; brown the ground beef over medium-heat. Drain the fat.


Add the onions, green pepper, tomato, and apple. Continue cooking until the vegetable are crisp-tender.


Stir in the curry powder, salt , and crushed red pepper flakes. Lower the heat and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the rice and cook 5 minutes longer.
